Found in the heart of Paris, in the Marais district, 38’riv has not only become a symbol but also a testament to the influence that jazz music has had in Parisian culture.
Rue de Rivoli has just about everything– from hidden galleries, to the Louvre, to jazz clubs, it is a hectic and chaotic street that beckons you to adventure. Near the end of Rivoli, nestled between a shoe store and a tabac, La Cave du 38’Riv opens its doors to musicians from all over the world, offering them a stage and an audience.
Located in a small XIIth century cellar, La Cave du 38’Riv has an amazing and varied program for each day of the week. Although they have mostly been known for their jazz concerts (which happen every Wednesday and Friday) as well as for their Jam Sessions offered every other day during the week, 38’Riv is now more so known for their Brazilian Bossa Nova concerts and their tributes to the Baroque on Sundays. This jazz club definitely stands out from among the others, letting you relish in the sounds of jazz at reasonable prices, in a great atmosphere.
